Terms of Membership

Barefoot & Wonder (“Barefoot & Wonder,” “we,” “us”) is a members-only community and digital retreat. We provide a calm, ad-free space built around verified experiences, guides, and genuine human connection. We are not a social network, a dating app, or a medical, mental-health, or financial service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or become a member. By joining, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the information you give us is true, and that you will keep your login details private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

• Membership is a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Prices are shown at checkout.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Auto-renewal.Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account or the billing portal, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Founding-member rate. If you join at a founding-member price, that rate stays the same for as long as your membership remains active and uninterrupted. If you cancel and rejoin later, the then-current price applies.
• Refunds.If something isn't right, contact us and we'll make it right in good faith. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are generally non-refundable.
• We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we'll give you clear notice first, and it won't affect a locked founding-member rate.

Barefoot & Wonder only works because of how members treat each other. When you join, you agree to be kind, honest, and respectful, and to leave people better than you found them. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, demean, or bully anyone;
• post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, illegal, or that exploits or endangers anyone;
• spam, advertise, recruit, or run schemes; scrape or harvest other members' information; or use the community to sell to people who didn't ask;
• impersonate anyone, misrepresent who you are, or create fake or duplicate accounts;
• share another member's private messages, photos, or personal details outside the community without their consent;
• attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site.

We may remove content or suspend or end a membership that breaks these rules, harms other members, or harms the community, at our discretion.

Some members choose to be discoverable and to connect with others for friendship, community, or dating. This is always opt-in, and you control whether you are discoverable and who you talk to. You can turn discovery off, and block or report anyone, at any time.

Please use good judgment.We offer tools like member verification and reporting, but we cannot guarantee anyone's identity, intentions, or conduct, and we do not conduct formal background checks. If you choose to meet another member in person, you do so at your own risk. Meet in public, tell someone you trust, and trust your instincts.

You keep ownership of the experiences, reviews, photos, and messages you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive license to store, display, and share that content within Barefoot & Wonder so the community works as intended. You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Barefoot & Wonder, its guides, its Library, and its members offer perspectives and lived experience, not professional advice. Nothing here is medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need care, please reach out to a doctor, a licensed professional, or your local emergency services.

Some links to books, tools, and retreats are affiliate or partner links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We only feature things we genuinely believe in, and a commission never changes our honest opinion.

The Barefoot & Wonder name, brand, guides, and original writing and design are ours, and are protected by intellectual-property law. Your membership lets you enjoy them personally; it doesn't let you copy, resell, or redistribute them.

You can cancel any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or harms the community. If we end your membership for a serious breach, you may not be entitled to a refund. When a membership ends, your access ends, and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We work hard to keep Barefoot & Wonder running well, but we provide it “as is,” without warranties, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Barefoot & Wonder is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other members. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.

We may update these terms as the community grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let members know. Continuing to use Barefoot & Wonder after a change means you accept the updated terms.
